Yearbooks Available

The MVMS Yearbook Club is currently taking orders for 2011-12 yearbooks.  The cost is $27.  Orders can be turned in to the office or yearbooks can be purchased online by going to www.jostensyearbooks.com.  Special messages for students can also be purchased for $10.  In order to get your message into the yearbook, there is a deadline of March 15th.  For any questions regarding yearbooks, feel free to email our Yearbook Advisor, Karen MacKay.

Godfather Auction

MVMS Parent Club is proud to announce that the annual 8th Grade Godfather Spaghetti Dinner and Auction will be on Friday, March 9th at 5:00 in the MVMS Gym.  This is a fundraiser event for the 8th grade and proceeds will help pay for the 8th grade trip and end of the year festivities including the graduation ceremony and dance.  Tickets for the event can be purchased by 8th grade students and the cost $5.  The evening includes gift basket raffle and both live and silent auction items.  Donations of gift baskets and auction items are now being collected by students and their families.

Question of the Week

The answer to the question of the week, “George Washington was the first president of the United States during what years?” is “1789 – 1797.”   The winner is:  Joey Liso in Mrs. Schauer’s homeroom.  Congratulations Joey!!  Please come to the library to pick up your prize.

 

The new question of the week is, “How many days are in a leap year?”  Come to the library during lunch time to research your answer for a chance to win a new book or poster.  The winner will be announced in next Friday’s bulletin.
